Steve Hart and Wayne Tarken have a combined 35+ years of experience as executive coaches, VP of Leadership Development, CHRO, Scrum Master, IT Project Leader, HR Consultant and Adjunct Professors
They developed the five-part Agile Leadership Model, a combination of practical experience, academic research, business scholarship and leadership practices that is designed to help leaders implement Agile Ways of Work to improve individual and organizational performance, engagement and success.
Wayne Tarken
With more than 20 years of experience working with business executives, Wayne Tarken helps organizations implement agile and strategic leadership practices to improve the performance of business strategies and operations.
With Steve Hart, he co-founded the Agile HR Consortium, a global group of organizations that collaborate on the development of practices, tools and resources that promote the adoption of agile into organizations. His prior experience as a Scrum Master and Chief HR Officer has led him to create a series of seven principles that combine key agile tactics with leadership strategies to generate a more robust organizational performance.
He is a faculty member at the University of Pennsylvania where he co-teaches with Steve Hart, “Developing the Agile Leader and Their Organization” graduate course.
Tarken is a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) who works with executives to improve their personal and business fitness as well as Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). He graduated from Temple University with an MBA in HR/Management and a BA in Economics
Stephen G. Hart
Steve is an Executive Coach with The Professional Development Group, LLC, and is also co-founder, Chief Learning Officer, and Senior Consultant with the Agile HR Consortium, LLC. In both organizations, Steve coaches inspiring leaders, develops high performing teams, and helps his clients to create great places to work.
He is an Affiliate Faculty member of the Organizational Dynamics program at the University of Pennsylvania and is the primary host of Penn’s Organizational Dynamics Program’s podcast series Learning Aloud. He earned an M.S. in Organizational Dynamics from the University of Pennsylvania and a BS from LaSalle University, Philadelphia. Steve is a 2009 Fellow of Leadership Philadelphia. He is an accomplished musician, published singer and songwriter, and leads his own acoustic band, HMS.
